NATIONWIDE IT CAPACITY ASSESSMENT TEAM BY NADMO, WFP AND KEY GOVERNMENT STAKEHOLDERS PAID A VISIT TO THE NERCC AND THE BUNKPURUGU-NAKPANDURI DISTRICT.

A working team comprising officials from NADMO Head Quarters, the Word Food Program {WFP), the Ministry of the Interior and other key stakeholders paid a working visit to North East Regional Co-ordinating Council (NERCC) on Wednesday 16th August 2023. The objective of this visit was to:
- Assess the regional Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) and IT capacity.
- Assess sore selected District EOCs and IT capacity.
- Provide a roadmap to enhance the operational capacity of the existing EOCs.
- Support the establishment of additional EOCs where necessary.
To harmonise this process, the methodology maintains the protocol for a courtesy call on the Regional Minister and the Regional Coordinating Director. In addition, the team will have a technical information-sharing session with the relevant agency heads and members of the Region Disaster Management Committee (RDMC).
Similarly, a further engagement with the Bunkpurugu-Nakpanduri District as a district with an EOC. There was a round table discussion with the District Disaster Management Committees (DDMCs) and some IT officials in the district for key input gathering.
