THE NERICCS ANNUAL REVIEW MEETING ON 2ND AND 3RD MARCH,2023

THE NORTH EAST REGIONAL INTER-AGENCY COORDINATING COMMITTEE ON SANITATION (RICCS) HAS HELD ITS ANNUAL REVIEW MEETING

The above Committee has held it’s Annual Review Meeting in the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), Nalerigu on Thursday 2nd and 3rd March 2023. The meeting which brought together Committee members, the media and Development Partners was to review Water, Sanitation and Health (WASH) activities that took place in 2022 and also draw its plans for 2023.Development Partners such as Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Afram Plains Development Organization, Global Communities, UNICEF, Independent Minds Association and others took turns to present the programs and projects they had implemented with accompanied results of their operations.These included the supporting Communities to attain Open Defecation Free (ODF), WASH facilities provided to schools and health centers, women empowerment, etc.At the end of the meeting, the Partners entreated the Municipal and District Assemblies to take the necessary steps to own these projects and also ensure sustainability of the gains made.
