NEWLY APPOINTED NORTH EAST REGIONAL MINISTER ENGAGES KEY SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF OF THE REGIONAL COORDINATING COUNCIL.
The newly appointed Regional Minister of the North East Region, Hon. Ibrahim Tia, by His Excellency the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, held a maiden meeting with the Senior Staff of the Regional Coordinating Council on the 5th February 2025, at the mini-conference Hall in Nalerigu, the Regional Capital.
Regional Heads of the various MDAs were drawn from Agriculture, Health, Statistical Service, Works Department, Road Safety Authority and Information Services Department.
Other participating Heads of Departments were drawn from Highways and Education.
Hon. Ibrahim Tia, President Mahama ‘s representative in the Region, expressed gratitude to His Excellency for the enviable opportunity to serve the people of North East in his new tenure of administration as President.
He expressed keen interest in adequately harnessing the economic and productive potentials of the Region locally in the
economic and tourism sectors, with the aim of providing more job opportunities for the teeming youth in the Region and also enhancing the Revenue portfolio of the Region, to the larger benefit and interest of the country.
He emphasized the need for hardwork and unwavering commitment, devotion, dedication and cooperation of all who matter in the Region’s development goals, to bridge the developmental gap between the nascent region and the older regions.
Hon. Ibrahim Tia, asked all stakeholders to present to his Office all laudably viable socio-economic plans to him, to incorporate and finalize government policy agenda in the Region.
He encouraged all key stakeholders to always knock on his doors to discuss any official business at all times.
The participating key Senior staff took turns to abreast the Regional Minister, in the course of the meeting, of their various contributions to the Region’s development last year and assured that they will always play their roles in the realization of Government plans,
